This year marks the 50th anniversary of the festival and on Saturday, July 7, Veteran's Memorial Bridge (M-25) will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic beginning at 5pm. This is to allow for set-up and testing of fireworks that will be launched from the bridge during the show. Traffic will be detoured and it is expected side st...reets will become congested. Residents living in the area should begin making plans now to have family and friends arrive early to avoid traffic problems. It would be advisable to have them carpool or be dropped off to reduce the volume of vehicles in the area. Further reminders will be issued as the event gets closer.
