Bay City, Michigan 48708 FAX: 989-895-5391 Press Release Date:February 9, 2012 From:Tony Rytlewski, Streets/ Sanitation/ Fleet Superintendent RE:Truman Parkway (Independence Bridge) NB Lane Re-Opening Effective Thursday February 9 @ 3:00 pm, the northbound lanes of Truman Parkway over the Independence Bridge will reopen to vehicular traffic. However, construction crews continue with repairing of bridge machinery and periodic lane shifts is expected. All construction work is expected to be completed by March 16 (weather permitting). This project is funded by the State of Michigan's Local Bridge Program and once completed will extend the bridge's structural integrity.
